Paper Piano
Late night alone in my studio there were times I listened to piano compositions while I worked on my art project. I was usually weary during those late night hours. Listening to piano instrument gave me some flashback of my childhood memories and the stimulus to stay awake. I was especially drawn to the Sonata No.14 in C# Minor, Opus 27 No. 2. by Ludwig van Beethoven. My fingers wondered in the air over the imaginative keyboard. “Quasi una fantasia” – almost a fantasy, and the sonata certainly has inspired me to dream of playing the piano composition. When I had a chance to work in an artist residency in a quiet countryside, I wanted to create my invisible and intangible fantasy I had in my studio to come forward, at least see some lights.
